| Samsung unveil new operating system | 23rd December 2009 |
| Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung have unveiled a new operating system to be used on many of their phones in the future. Called BADA (Korean for Ocean) it will be powering a huge number of Samsung SmartPhones starting in the first half of 2010.

We are now members of Otelo (Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman).Otelo are an ombudsman service for public communication providers (PCP) and their customers. Their service is free and independent and has been approved by the regulator (Ofcom).

| Nomophobia | 18th December 2009 |
| A new word could be set to enter our vocabulary - Nomophobia, the fear of not having a mobile phone signal. People are now so attached to their mobiles that there is a genuine dread of losing a signal. Not only that, but up to 80% of SmartPhone users have admitted they will be checking their phones over Christmas for emails and messages "just in case" something important crops up.

| O2 have completed live trials of 4G connectivity, the successor to 3G. The succesful trial is said to have achieved transfer speeds up to 150mbps. This technology may not be too far away in the UK, with Norway and Sweden already rolling it out via TelleSonera. Mobile phones capable of utilising such a fast network could be launched as early as 2010.
