We have completed the purchase of our first .TEL domain, 21c.tel, which will provide visitors with a quick and easy way to find all of our contact details in one place.

This domain is not only viewable via a normal web browser online but also via mobile phones and other devices with limited screen sizes.

The site itself should be up and running in the next week or so.

Land Rover have entered the world of mobile phones with their S1 model.

Designed to be as tough as their cars it is resistant to humidity, dust, shock, salt and heat. It can survive falls from 2 metres onto concrete and is also water resistant up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.

An ideal business mobile phone for workmen it also includes speakers capable of 110dB so it can be heard ringing over loud machinery.

It has an IP rating of 67 which makes it a military grade phone.

Whilst it is extremely durable, because it does not contain too many fancy gadgets the price tag is a lot lower than a modern SmartPhone with all of their delicate internal circuitry, accelerometers etc.

Solar powered mobile phones3rd July 2009
With the sun shining around the country could you take advantage and get your mobile charged for free by solar power?

Samsung have developed solar powered mobile phones which give 5-10 minutes of talktime for each hour of charging. This is done via a solar panel on the back of the phone.

Alternatively there are solar powered devices for recharging a range of different electronic products, including mobile phones and laptops, which could come in handy if your phone runs out of power when you're not near to a plug socket.

These devices are best thought of as holiday items as the current sunny spell here in the UK is unlikely to last long, and it's almost guaranteed to be cloudy when you really need a recharge!

Universal mobile phone charger coming soon1st July 2009
There are currently more than 30 different types of mobile phone charger in use across Europe.

In response to a threat by the European Commission to legislate on the issue a number of leading mobile phone manufacturers have agreed to develop a universal phone charger for the European market.

They are developing a standard micro-USB charger which could be available as early as 2010 and in widespread use for most mobile phone handsets by 2012.
