Can I change my contract mid-term?
Business mobile contracts are usually at least 12 months long. Increasingly contracts are more likely to be 18 months, 24 months or even longer as networks ensure that they can recoup the cost of the latest expensive handsets by tying customers in for longer.During this time the circumstances of the business can change. An expanding business is likely to need extra handsets, more inclusive minutes and texts and extra data capacity.
Upgrading your contract to a higher tariff is usually straightforward. Networks are happy to accomodate an increase in your usage.
Downgrading your tariff is more complicated. The networks each have different terms and conditions aimed at making sure they are not disadvantaged by customers reducing their tariffs.
Dropping down by one tariff may be possible but if you want to drop down several tariffs it is likely to be difficult, if not impossible.
A lot will depend on your current network and deal. We can give you individual advice if you get in touch with these details and let you know if there are other options which you might consider.
