SmartPhone or Netbook?Mobile connectivity is becoming more and more important. Not only do we need a mobile phone to keep in touch wherever we are but many people now need to access email and internet on the move. A standard laptop using mobile broadband would do the job but there are other options with smaller devices which may suit you better. SmartPhones are getting more powerful all of the time and offer a lot of the features you would find on a computer. Email and internet browsing come as standard but there are also options to work with documents and other business applications depending on the model chosen. A SmartPhone will fit in your pocket but to be able to do this it has to compromise on screen size and keyboard size, making it difficult to use for some people. Netbooks on the other hand have larger screens, typically 7 to 10 inches, and contain all of the computing power of their larger laptop counterparts from a few years ago. They don't make phone calls as standard (although you could make voip calls with them) so you are likely to need a separate mobile phone too. Cost-wise both types of device are now similarly priced, although there is probably more choice of devices in the SmartPhone sector. Which you choose depends mainly on how you envisage using them. For visual media the netbook is likely to provide a much better experience whereas the SmartPhone is the obvious choice where space is limited and true portability is needed. We can supply both devices to business users and can help you choose the best one for your individual needs. Just give us a call or fill out our enquiry form. More articles.....
