Every business would like to make all of its phone calls for free. In reality this is not possible and it is a matter of making free calls where available and keeping the costs of all other calls to a minimum.

• Business mobiles - free calls

  If you have a number of business mobiles within the same company it is possible to have a contract where all phone calls between these handsets are free. They do not come out of your inclusive minutes.

  There are also contracts where it is free to call all 01, 02 and 03 landline numbers. Again this is outside of your monthly inclusive minutes.

  By utilising these options it leaves your monthly inclusive minutes for calling mobile phones outside of your group. This is the most cost effective option as mobile-to-mobile calls are amongst the most expensive in terms of pence per minute.

• Business landlines - free calls

  By utilising the latest technology you can make landline calls between your offices free of charge.

  If your office regularly makes calls to mobile phones you can reduce the cost by using a GSM gateway to route all 07 mobile calls via a sim card utilising inclusive minutes. Normal landline calls are routed via the fixed line network.

  International calls can be routed over the internet via Voip which substantially reduces the costs.
